David Cawley let go by Sligo Rovers

Sligo Rovers longest serving squad member David Cawley announced on Social Media on Friday evening that he is parting company with Sligo Rovers.

The Ballina native, who received a club testimonial back in August, for his services to the club posted a message confirming the news on Instagram.

Cawley, who was club captain last season, is the last link from the currrent squad to the League of Ireland championship winning squad of 2012.

The 32-year-old also won an FAI Cup (2013) and a Setanta Cup (2014) during his two spells with the club.
