Reigning Connacht junior club hurling champions Easkey are one win away from retaining their provincial title following Saturday’s comprehensive 2-20 to 1-9 semi-final victory over Leitrim champions Carrick Hurling in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The west Sligo side established a 0-12 to 0-3 interval lead – and their opponents were unable to close the gap in a meaningful way after that.
Two second-half goals emphasised Easkey’s control to set up a provincial final meeting with Galway junior champions Ballinasloe.

The Connacht junior hurling final is provisionally fixed for Saturday, November 18th, at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence – although this has still to be confirmed by Connacht GAA.
Several of the Easkey players are also preparing for the club’s forthcoming Connacht intermediate club football semi-final later this month against Roscommon champions Castlerea.
