Two drivers have been arrested in Sligo after they both tested positive for cannabis following roadside drug tests.
The arrests come as Gardaí from the Sligo-Leitrim Roads Policing Unit were conducting a checkpoint on Friday.
Gardaí have previously warned that they will be out in force in Sligo and elsewhere this Bank Holiday weekend.
Checkpoints are planned for a number of locations across the region over the next few days, with Gardaí set to clampdown on various offences.
Gardaí are reminding the public never to drive under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs.
