Students are being ripped off in Sligo as the scramble for accommodation continues.
That’s according to local Sinn Fein Cllr Arthur Gibbons who says some landlords locally are looking for astronomical fees for merely a bed with little to no other facilities and some instances, students are not permitted to stay in the accommodation at the weekends.
The issue is to be raised at today’s sitting of Sligo County Council with calls for urgent Government intervention.
