It’s being reported that the brother of Ronan Keating was travelling to Sligo when he lost his life in a car accident in County Mayo.
Ciaran Keating, died in the incident near Swinford,
Mr Keating, aged in his 50s, was travelling with his wife Annemarie to watch their son, Ruairí, play for Cork City in a League of Ireland Premier Division clash with Sligo Rovers, when the collision with another vehicle took place at around 3.35pm yesterday afternoon.
He suffered fatal injuries in the crash on the N5 His wife was taken to Mayo University Hospital for treatment for injuries which are understood to be non-life threatening.
