Goals from James Clarke in the first half and Declan McDaid in the second gave the Dubliners all three points.

Rovers had plenty of possession at different stages but were unable to make their chances count.
David Cawley and Max Mata had the best opportunities on a night when a crowd of more than 4000 were at Dalymount Park.
Rovers injury woes continued with the returning Eanna Clancy and Greg Bolger both being forced off injured in the opening half.
