Sensory Garden opens at Sligo Transitional Living Unit



Acquired Brain Injury Ireland has opened a sensory garden at Sligo Transitional Living Unit in Tonaphubble in Sligo.

The unit, which assists survivors of acquired brain injuries rehabilitate and work towards independent living opened in 2007.

The sensory garden will be open to acquired brain injury survivors, who have completed their residential rehabilitation and are now back home living in their own communities.

Local Services manager with Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, Teresa O’Boyle believes the development of the garden will continue to support people with acquired brain injuries:
