Arrow Harps prepare for national soccer final

Sunday will be a special day for Sligo soccer club Arrow Harps FC when their girls under-16 team contest the Schoolgirls FAI U16 National Trophy final.

Harps take on Carrick United from Carrick-on-Suir in Tipperary in Sunday’s decider.

The game will be played in Cahir at 2:30pm.

Joint coaches Alan & Sally Anne Henry spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan.

The Sligo team features several members of the Coola Post Primary School soccer team who won the SFAI Connacht Junior ‘B’ title earlier this year.

Harps route to the national trophy decider included wins over Kilnamanagh FC (Dublin), Ballyhaise Celtic (Cavan) and Shelbourne FC (Dublin) en route to the final.

The club has organised a supporters bus to Sunday’s game in Cahir.
