A Sligo Councillor is calling for a co-location for a new Garda Station and Fire Station for Sligo.
Sligo Garda Station has been previously been deemed not fit for purpose.
It was confirmed in 2015 that Sligo would get a new Regional Headquarters, with a site in Caltragh earmarked for the facility.
Justice Minister Simon Harris visited Sligo Garda Station last month, and said that the government wants to make sure that the current station receives adequate funding and development.
