A man in his 30’s remains in custody this morning after he was arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body in Sligo last week.
Gardaí have said that they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Angela Canavan’s body, at her home in St John’s Terrace in Sligo on Monday last.
A post-mortem examination was carried out in Sligo University Hospital, however gardaí are not disclosing the results for operational reasons.
Yesterday gardaí arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder.
He is currently being questioned at a garda station in the north-western region.
