Gardaí investigating the death of a woman, who was discovered at a residence in Sligo town on Monday have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
The man (30s) is currently detained at a Garda station in the North Western Region under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A post-mortem was conducted, the results of which are not being disclosed for operational reasons.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances.
