Sligo University Hospital the fourth most overcrowded facility in Ireland today



There are 63 people waiting on a hospital bed at Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals today.

They are among a national figure of 597 that are waiting on a hospital bed this morning.

The latest figures from the INMO claims that there are 31 people waiting on a bed at Sligo University Hospital and 29 at Letterkenny University Hospital.

A combined number of 30 in the emergency departments at the respective Hospitals in the north west.

Sligo’s figure has resulted in it being the fourth most overcrowded hospital in the country today behind University Hospital Limerick, Cork University Hospital and fellow Saolta Hospital member -University Hospital Galway.
