Donegal Councillor to raise local driving test issues in the Dáil and at Council level

A Donegal Councillor says he will have the matter raised in the Dáil concerning the decision taken by the Driving Test Centre in Donegal Town to refuse to test a car due to the colour of the insurance disc on the windscreen of the vehicle.

The owner of the car will now have to book another driving test as a result of the decision.

It had been thought by the vehicle owner prior to the test that there would have been no issue in relation to the colour of the disc which was emailed to the customer and  was

then printed on a home or office printer.

Bundoran based County Councillor Michael McMahon has been contacted in relation to the incident.

He says it’s unfair that the car owner will be left out of pocket as a result of the action.

Speaking to OceanFM The Sinn Fein elected representative  says he plans to have the issued raised at local authority level as well as in the Dáil.
