A Sligo Councillor is hopeful rural areas in county Sligo will be included in the Local Hackney Pilot Scheme.
The scheme is a grant-aided pilot programme that aims to assist in the provision of part-time local hackney services in designated rural areas which cannot support a full time taxi or hackney operation.
Manorhamilton and Elphin have been previously included in the pilot scheme.
