Minister under pressure to sort stalled school buildings debacle



The Education Minister is facing increasing pressure to resolve the major ongoing debacle surrounding school building projects in the North West.

 

Last week, parents, pupils and staff held a protest outside Gaelscoil na gCeithre Máistrí in Donegal town over the Government’s decision to put their new school build project on ice.

 

This is despite planning being approved eight years ago and the school operating out of second hand prefabs since its inception 24 years ago.

 

The tender for the project expired last Friday.
