Tánaiste accuses Donegal Sinn Fein TD of scaremongering over energy crisis



The Tánaiste has accused a Donegal Sinn Fein TD of scaremongering over the ongoing energy crisis.

 

Deputy Pearse Doherty has hit out at Michael Martin over a Government decision to terminate energy credits for households.

 

The final energy credit for 200 hundred euro will be issued to people in the coming weeks.

 

Electricity bills continue to soar with serious concern over how some are going to keep the lights on.

 

Deputy Doherty asked the Tánaiste to change course and provide some certainty:

 

 

Responding, Michael Martin says the Government has taken extraordinary measures in this regard to date and it’ll never get to a stage where people will have to turn off the lights:
