CSO figures show people in the local region have the lowest disposable income in the country.



A Sligo Leitrim TD has expressed disappointment at the latest CSO figures that show the Northern and Western region has the lowest disposable income per person in the country.

According to those figures released by the CSO, people in the Northern and Western region’s annual average disposable income was behind the rest of the country by almost 4,000 euro per person in 2021.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Independent TD Marian Harkin says that unless the government acts on this issue, that gap will only get worse:
