Latest Daft reports confirms that north west rent prices are rising



Rent prices in the North West continue to rise.

 

That’s according to the latest Daft.ie report which shows that market rents in Sligo, Leitrim, and Donegal.

 

Counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal have each seen an increase in rent prices.

 

 

Across the 54 markets covered in each Daft.ie Rental Report, market rents nationally are on average 13.7% higher now than a year ago.

 

 

This is the strongest rate of inflation in market rents for a calendar year since the start of the Daft Report in 2005.

 

 

 

According to Daft.ie’s 4th Quarter report, prices have risen in Leitrim by 19.4% compared to the same stage last year to €930.

 

 

 

In Donegal, the average rent price has also risen by 18.2% to €960 while Sligo sees the smallest increase of 15.4% to €1,109.

 

 

 

Leitrim remains the cheapest county to rent at an average price of €930.

 

 

 

The cost of renting a room in the Connacht-Ulster region was almost 20% higher on average in the final quarter of 2022 than a year earlier.

 

 

 

Nationwide prices have increased by 13.7% bringing the average rent to €1,733 meaning the North West, while rising, remains the cheapest region to rent in the country.
