Sheep farmers to hold protest outside Roscommon Mart

The Irish Farmers Association will hold its first of many national protests at Roscommon Mart on Monday morning.

The protest comes as Sheep farmers feel aggrieved at the support being given to the national sheep flock in areas such as input costs and farm gate prices for sheep meat and wool.

Sligo IFA will gather from every rural branch office from tomorrow morning and convening in Gurteen to travel together to Roscommon with the protest due to commence at 10.30am.
