Local Councils in attendance in Dublin to promote North West relocation initiative

The event will provide an opportunity to meet face to face with the executives leading the Northwest’s top multinational and indigenous companies. Mid to senior level professionals will learn about the global customer base serviced from the region along with the array of career opportunities available. Key agencies led by IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and the Western Development Commission (WDC), under the North West Regional Enterprise Plan, have teamed up with some of the Northwest’s biggest employers for the event. Local Authority representatives from Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal will be in Dublin this evening to promote relocation to the North West.

“Northwest in the City” is an event organised by IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and the Western Development Commission as part of the North West Regional Enterprise Plan, and takes place in the Westbury Hotel in Dublin this evening.

The aim of the event is to give people based in Dublin and the East coast an insight into career opportunities in the North West, across a number of different sectors.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Leitrim County Council’s Senior Executive Officer for Economic Development, Emer Connolly, outlined the aims of tonight’s event.
