Second phase of Active Travel Project to get underway between Collooney and Carrignagat



The second phase of the Active Travel Project between Collooney and Ballisodare has been welcomed by a Sligo councillor.

Phase 2, which will stretch between Collooney and Carrignagat, will see footpaths put in place, as well as upgrades to public lighting, road signage and pedestrian linkages to Collooney train station.

It’s the biggest allocation in County Sligo at €550,000.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Councillor Thomas Healy also indicated that it would be the start of implementing a one way system in Collooney village:
