All-Stars go down to St Vincent’s in Dublin



https://www.oceanfm.ie/2023/01/28/sligo-team-to-play-laois-named/EJ Sligo All-Stars suffered defeat to St Vincent’s in basketball’s men’s Superleague on Saturday night in Dublin on a final scoreline of 80-70.

The All-Stars, who without several regulars for this game, were just a point behind at the end of the third quarter, but Vincent’s who knocked the All-Stars out of the National Cup earlier this season, produced a strong closing quarter to win by 10.

Despite the loss, the All-Stars remain in the top four of the Superleague North Conference after 13 games.

The top four teams in the North and South Conferences will qualify for the end-0f-season play-offs.
