Sligo Councillor says legacy issues existed in health and housing before the war in Ukraine



A Sligo Councillor believes that refugees are being unfairly blamed for a number of local issues when really the finger should be pointed at successive Governments.

 

Cllr Arthur Gibbons has reiterated that there is no place in the town and further afield for any form of discrimination against people arriving to our shores.

 

The Sinn Fein Councillor made the comments this week and said that it’s even more relevant now due to the large number of Ukrainian refugees arriving into the country.
