Saolta Hospitals group representative warns that staff can do no more



The Chief Clinical Director at the Saolta Hospitals group which includes Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals says all Hospitals in the group are doing everything in their power to try and get through the current overcrowding crisis that is impacting almost ever Hospital in the country.

 

The country’s largest nursing union, the INMO is holding an emergency meeting to discuss the HSE’s response to hospital overcrowding.

 

The HSE has already called on  hospitals to adopt the so called 7-7 approach  which would require hospitals to replicate at weekends tasks such as discharging patients that  normally takes place on week days.
