Leitrim no match for Roscommon in hurling semi-final

Leitrim suffered a 6-33 to 1-10 Connacht hurling league semi-final defeat to Roscommon at the Connacht GAA Air Dome on Wednesday evening.

Roscommon, who recently added former Kilkenny hurler Ritchie Power to their management team, dominated the encounter from start to finish to set up a Cup final meeting with Galway on Saturday.

They led by 1-20 to 0-7 at half-time and cruised to victory thereafter with five second-half goals.

The Galway development side beat New York in Wednesday’s second semi-final by 13 points.

Olcan Conway’s Leitrim will now face the Exiles in the shield final on Saturday, again at the Air Dome.

Throw-in will be at 5pm
