Former Sligo TD fears lack of representation at cabinet level will negatively impact the region

A former Fianna Fáil TD is warning that with the Sligo Leitrim constituency being left without a Junior Minster following today’s reshuffle regional development will be negatively impacted.

All junior ministers will be appointed after today’s Cabinet meeting, with the three super-junior ministers who sit at Cabinet already having been reappointed to their roles

Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan who had held the position of Minister of State with responsibility for Public Health, earlier confirmed that he will  not be receiving a junior ministry this time round.

Eamon Scanlon is a former Sligo Leitrim TD, he says not having representation at senior or junior ministerial level is a disadvantageous for counties such as Sligo, Leitrim, and Roscommon.
