Sligo University Hospital the third most overcrowded facility in the country



There were 83 people waiting on hospital beds at the North West’s two main hospitals this morning.

Sligo University Hospital was the third most overcrowded hospital in the country with 48 people waiting on beds.

That’s according to the latest trolley watch figures from the INMO.

The figures claim that 30 of those waiting in Sligo are currently in the Emergency Department.

An additional 35 are waiting on a bed in Letterkenny University Hospital while the national figure stands at 595.
