Keith Cowan rejoins Finn Harps

Finn Harps have confirmed that former club captain Keith Cowan is rejoining the club after three seasons away.

The 37-year-old Ramelton native, who played for Drogheda last season, becomes new manager Dave Rogers first player signing.

Cowan told finnharps.ie on Wednesday: “Once I heard that Dave was coming in as manager, even without speaking with him I was interested straight away.

“The opportunity to work with someone of Dave’s calibre, experience and professionalism is rare at any level.

“So, once I met him and heard what he had to say, I was on board straight away (not that I told him that!).”

Cowan was first signed for Harps in 2004 by then manager Felix Healy.

He went on to make more than 240 appearances for the Donegal club – and now returns to try and help Harps gain promotion from the First Division.

Harps opening league game of the new season will be on Friday, February 17th, at home to Johnny Caulfield’s Galway United.
