Ireland’s 4 x 100 metres women’s medley team of Mona McSharry, Danielle Hill, Molly Mayne and Victoria Catterson won gold at the US Open Swimming Championships in North Carolina on Thursday night.
The four US-based Irish swimmers clocked a time of 4mins 07.69secs to finish ahead of McSharry’s University team Tennessee.
This event is run annually by USA Swimming in December of each year and is open to international teams/swimmers.
