Health service ‘in crisis mode’ in North West



A Donegal TD says the health service is in crisis mode in the north west.

 

Deputy Thomas Pringle made the comments as the INMO trolley watch figures confirmed that
Letterkenny University Hospital is the most overcrowded facility in the country today with 83 patients without beds.

 

625 people are being treated on trolleys at hospitals across the country including 38 at Sligo University Hospital.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM the Donegal Independent TD says there is a danger that the reports of overcrowding in Hospitals will result in many people that need to attend emergency departments deciding to postpone or cancel their appointments:
