Connacht club final heartbreak for Kiltubrid



Kiltubrid narrowly missed out on a Connacht LGFA intermediate club football title on Saturday when they were beaten by Charlestown of Mayo by a single point, on a final scoreline of 1-10 to -12.

County player Michelle Guckian scored 0-10 for the Leitrim senior ‘B’ champions as they came from six points down at half-time to close to within one in the closing moments of the game.

However, Charlestown held on for victory – with their first-half goal from Deirdre Doherty in the third minute of the game proving. in the end, to be the crucial score.

Guckian and Kiltubrid manager Steve Sheerin spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s PJ Leddy after Saturday’s narrow final defeat.
