People in Sligo urged to participate in Cost of Living protest



People in Sligo are being urged to participate in a Cost of Living protest tomorrow.

 

The demonstration is getting underway at the G.P.O. in the town at 2.30pm

 

Similar protests will take place in towns and cities across the country and aim to call on the Government to take more action to reduce the price of energy and food, to increase social welfare payment and pensions; introduce a living wage and to freeze rents.

 

It’s being organised by the Cost of Living Coalition.
