There are further calls for more safety measures to be installed at a particular section of the N4/N15 road on the way out of Sligo town.
Where the two lanes merge, problems are said to arise among some motorists as to who has right of way.
There have been several minor crashes in the area over the years.
Local Cllr Donal Gilroy says while there is signage there, he believes more signage is needed to paint a clearer picture for all road users:
