Sligo Councillor calls for compensation for all Mother and Baby Home survivors



A Sligo Councillor believes every survivor of Mother and Baby homes should be entitled to some sort of compensation.

It’s after new figures show 24,000 people aren’t eligible for any compensation.

It’s because they spent less than six months in these homes when they were children.

It has led to calls for the government to expand the €800 million redress scheme for Mother and Baby Home survivors.
