Leitrim councillor urges local authority to retain services of temporary staff



Serious concern has been raised that important work at Leitrim County Council will not be completed by the end of the year over the possibility of temporary staff being let go.

 

It’s understood that such contracts are usually terminated in November, however there’s a lot of projects and work with local schemes still outstanding, according to Leitrim Cllr Sean McDermott.

 

Cllr McDermott says some of the work is time sensitive with some grant availability running out at the end of the year.
