Donegal Doctor claims Increasing waiting lists are piling pressure on GP’s

A Donegal GP is warning that ever increasing waiting lists are putting more pressure of GP’s

Almost 32,000 people over the age of 65, have been on a hospital waiting list for over 18 months.

New figures also show nearly 20,000 children have been waiting over a year and a half.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says 350 million euro is being spent this year on reducing the delays.

Dr Denis McCauley, from the Irish Medical Organisation, says the issue is also impacting GP’s
