42 people waiting for a bed at North West hospitals



The amount of people on trollies in hospitals across the North West has increased since Tuesday morning.

 

Currently, there are 42 people waiting for a bed across the region, an increase of 1 from Tuesday.

 

According to the INMO’s Trolley Watch figures, there are 27 people on trollies in Sligo University Hospital, while in Letterkenny, there are 15.

 

Nationally, there are 540 patients waiting for beds with Cork University Hospital remaining the most overcrowded in the country, with 65 people waiting for a bed.
