Plans are afoot to carry out a feasibility study with a view towards linking Carraroe Centre with Union Wood by way of a trial or path.
Union Wood is home to a number of pathways and it’s thought that linking it with Carraroe would open up the area to residents there.
Cllr Thomas Walsh says there are number of funding avenues that can be explored to get the study underway.
He believes that in time, it would be a very positive project, having many benefits:
