Bundoran councillor fears that there is insufficient numbers of road maintenance staff in south Donegal



There are calls on Donegal County Council to employ more road maintenance staff in south of the county.

 

It follows concern that the current number of people working in the Department is insufficient to cope with the amount of work currently on the table in the area.

 

Sinn Fein Cllr Michael McMahon says it’s a serious issue and with end of year budgets to be spent, the workload has increased further.

 

The Sinn Féin  councillor has tabled a motion on the issue for today’s Donegal Municipal District Meeting

 

Cllr McMahon says it’s clear that more bodies are needed to get the jobs done in a timely fashion:
