Donegal TD says cost of living march can have an impact



A Donegal TD is encouraging people in the North West to support a march to the Dáil next month to force Government action on the cost-of-living crisis.

 

The march, which is supported by the Cost of Living Coalition, is getting underway on Saturday afternoon, September 24th at Parnell Square in Dublin.

 

It’s estimated that there were 17,000 applications for the emergency social welfare payment in July of this year.

 

That represents an increase of more than 10,000 since April, when there were 6,500 applications.
