Sligo Man dies following incident at UK Holiday Camp



Police in the UK are continuing their investigations after A Sligo man was beaten to death at a holiday camp in the UK at the weekend.

 

It’s believed he lost his life after a row broke out over a Premier League match.

 

Michael McDonagh who was 53, was killed on Friday night when he was pinned down and attacked by a group at Parkdean Resorts in Camber Sands, Sussex in southeast England.

 

According to media reports he is believed to have got into the row after watching the opening match of the Premier League between Crystal Palace and Arsenal.

 

Paramedics treated him at the scene however despite their best efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead in the early hours of Saturday morning.

 

Six people are in police custody being quizzed on suspicion of murder.
