Donegal records two property sales in excess of one million euro

The cost of living crisis is not impacting on the sales of high-end houses in a number of counties including Donegal.

Increases in the sales of houses over the 1 million mark were also registered in Donegal Cork, Tipperary, Limerick and Clare.

Sales of million-euro houses is soaring in parts of the country in particular on the eastern sea board with Wicklow witnessing a 78% increase in the number of homes selling for above 7 figures.

In Dublin the jump was 44%.

An Irish Independent examination of residential price register found 178 houses sold for 1 million euro or above in the first 6 months of this year, 49 more than in the same period last year.

There were no sales in excess of one million reported in Sligo or Leitirm.

Bundoran based auctioneer Cormac Meehan says it’s rare for properties to be sold in Donegal for such figures.
