Minister Humphreys says broadband options will be available rurally

The Minister for Rural and Community Development and Social Protection says progress is being made in the rollout of broadband to rural areas across the north west.

Minister Heather Humphreys speaking to ocean FM yesterday acknowledged that issues such as the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in slow progress being made in the provision of high speed broadband to some rural areas.

She says short-term measures are being taken such as the establishment of remote hubs and high speed broadband connection points will enable people to work remotely in the north west.
