New footpath from Tullaghan to the Atlantic Ocean gives Leitrim access to the sea

Leitrim residents will soon have access to the Atlantic Ocean.

Leitrim County Council is constructing a public car park and a public access route with a road and a footpath to the county’s 4km coastline from Tullaghan Village.

There has been no access to the shoreline from any public road, this however is about to change with Leitrim county council and local contractors Kerrigan Quarries beginning the paths construction in the next number of weeks

Kinlough based Councillor Justin Warnock has been speaking to OceanFM news he expressed his delight with the announcement and that it is great to see the contract going to someone local.
