Local IFA official pleads with meat processors to increase pig prices

The Ulster/North Leinster Chairman of the IFA has called on meat processors to increase prices to 2.20 euro per KG.

The IFA Pigs Committee has been campaigning nationally to secure increases in the pig price for farmers who have been haemorrhaging massive financial losses for almost a year now.

Frank Brady says Processors that are not paying a minimum of 2 euro per/KG must do so this week.

Speaking to OceanFM he says the situation is critical for many pig farmers
