RSA call for more visible policing on roads

The Road Safety Authority is looking at ways of ensuring more visible policing on the country’s roads.

It’s after the Bank Holiday weekend saw 8 people die in a series of road incidents.

Two men in their 70’s died in fatal road traffic collision which took place on the N15 between Sligo and Drumcliff on Sunday evening.

The RSA is concerned at the road death toll so far this year, at 78.

Chairperson of the RSA, Liz O’ Donnell, says they are examining what can be done to address it.
