Gardaí are advising motorists that the N15 on the Sligo side of Rathcormack remains closed this morning. The road has been closed following an accident which took place yesterday. The section of road is expected to remain closed until at least this afternoon.
The Fatal Road Traffic Collision took place yesterday evening at 5.20 p.m. and two men in their 70’s lost their lives in the accident.
Three cars were involved in the collision. The two men, the driver and passenger of one vehicle, were fatally injured during the collision.
The N15 is closed between Sligo town and Drumcliff.
Road diversions are in place via Rathcormac. Gardaí are advising motorists that the diversions will not add significant delays to journeys.
The two deaths in Sligo in Sligo bring to 76 the number of people who have died on Irish roads so far in 2022.
