Minister takes swipe at Donegal TD in Dail



The Agriculture and Marine Minister has taken a swipe at Independent Donegal TD Thomas Pringle in the Dail.

 

It follows comments made by Deputy Thomas Pringle relating to concerns for the fishing community.

 

Deputy Pringle highlighted not only the Killybegs fishing weighing debacle but also issues relating to the Common Fisheries policy and the current quota rules which he says, is having a colossal effect on the Killybegs community as a whole.

 

But responding, Marine Minister Charlie McConalogue says the biggest single impact to the national fishing quota has been Brexit, something Deputy Pringle, who is from Killybegs, was in favour of:
