Sligo Councillor calls for safety survey on stretch of N15



 

Sligo County Council is being urged to carry out a safety survey on a section of road in Sligo.

 

The route along the N15 between Moneygold and Cliffoney is said to be in need of a facelift with some road markings currently not clearly visible.

 

Local Cllr Marie Casserly says the turning lanes on the stretch are currently unsafe because they are not properly marked and this in turn is causing issues for residents and motorists in the area.

 

The Council has committed to engage with the TII in relation on the matter.

 

Cllr Casserly says until such time as funding is designated for a new road, this interim work must be carried out as a matter of urgency:
