Donegal TD urges Northern Ireland’s political parties to from new government

A Donegal TD is urging Northern Ireland’s political parties to work together and form a new government which will deliver for the electorate.

Politicians will meet at Stormont today to try and form a new power sharing executive in the North.

It’s after Sinn Fein became the first nationalist party to win the most votes in an election to the Assembly.

The party secured 27 seats to defeat the Democratic Unionist Party which won’t help restore power sharing until its issues with the protocol are met.

Sinn Fein Donegal TD Padraig MacLochlainn says it’s vital the parties form a new government to deliver for the people of the north.
